As with the introduction of Stage custom in 1995 YAMAHA once again sets the standards of value and sound. By borrowing from our legendary recording Custom drums, we are proud to introduce new 100% Birch Shell stage Custom.

Following in the tradition of our top-quality Maple, Birch and Beech Custom lines, the Oak Custom drum kit has it all - beauty, sturdy construction, a great, powerful sound... and all at a lower cost. With the new Oak Custom Yamaha brings the rich appearance and powerful sound of the mighty oak to a mid-priced, professional quality drum set. Shells are constructed from 100% oak—a material known for its brilliant grain, unsurpassed strength and durability. The Oak Custom produces a distinctive, bright and remarkably loud, yet harmonically rich, sound that is particularly ideal for live performance. Bass drums are 7-ply and 7.7 mm thick, while rack toms, floor toms and snare drums are 6-ply and 6 mm thick. All the bass drums are 17” deep and are available in 20”, 22” and 24” diameters with Remo PowerStrokeP3 batter heads, while the 18” deep bass drum has a Remo Coated Ambassador batter.

With maple shells, a wide selection of contemporary, universal, and retro shell sizes two lug types, and a choice of over 30 finishes, the Yamaha Absolute Series gives you the freedom to create a totally individual, personalized drum set. The warm characteristic that maple offers is enhanced with our Air Seal System process. Select maple wood is cut in plies, positioned with staggered diagonal seams, and sealed together with evenly distributed air pressure. This process ensures that every drum shell is in round and of uniform thickness.

The Gigmaker series is a full drumkit - complete with hardware and cymbals - at a price that makes owning a set of Yamaha Drums easier than ever.

The 5-piece set includes a 22''x 16'' bass drum, 16''x 16'' floor tom, 13''x 9,5'' and 12'' x 9'' toms, and a 14'' x 5.5'' snare drum that are going to make you look and sound great whether you're playing rock, country or jazz.
